Welcome, we are glad to have you with us!
We are very excited about our Godly Play classrooms for grades K-5.
Our classes begin at 9:45 a.m. To improve communication and strengthen our sense of community we encourage all parents to accompany their child to the classroom and touch base with the teacher and the other students.
Our Sunday School class schedule will be the same every week.
All classes, preschool 3 - 5 years old through fifth grade, begin at 9:45 and the children leave their classes at about 10:40, to process into church, receive a blessing and join their families in the service for the Eucharist.
In our preschool class, for 3 - 5 year-olds, we invite our "littlest learners" into a relaxed classroom setting with prayer, a story, an activity, and a snack.
Our Church School classes for grades K-5 use the Godly Play curriculum. These classes invite our children into a "sacred space" in which Bible stories are told with small figures and objects using simple language that evokes spiritual wondering.
We welcome you to volunteer in the classroom to share in the spiritual journey of all our children !
All the children have the opportunity to share their blessings during our Lenten in-gathering, we participate in the filling of "ark banks" for Heifer. In order to increase our parish-wide awareness and knowledge of the Heifer Project we will continue a simple yearlong fundraiser, a FIRST SUNDAYS COFFEE HOUR BAKE SALE! All Church school families are invited to bake goodies for any and all of the first Sundays of the school year.
Throughout the year the children make small gifts and cards for our Meals on Wheels neighbors. These offerings are greatly appreciated by so many and our children are able to help those in our own community ! !
All bake sale proceeds will be saved up to send in with our Lenten Ark Bank Offering. Let’s work together to make this a fun-family effort that furthers God’s Kingdom on earth!
