My Life, My Faith

My Life, My Faith: An Exploration of Faith for High School Students

St. Paul’s Memorial Church

2010-2011

My Life, My Faith Is a class for High School aged youth who would like to explore the central teachings of the Christian tradition and their own beliefs. We will use Reason, Scripture, & Tradition to explore our sacred story; the life, teachings, and meaning of Jesus; the virtues and practices of the Christian life, and the Christian understanding of compassion, mercy, forgiveness, justice, worship, vocation and christian community. The class is for all those who are seeking to a safe place to ask questions and clarify their own beliefs and sense of vocation.

Sunday Mornings Meetings: 10:50 – 11:50AM. We begin with the Judas Walk* just after the Communion during the 10am Service of Holy Eucharist. We gather with the Confirmation class and the Rite-13 Group in the Youth Rooms upstairs where we will say the Post-Communion Prayer and have Lunch together. Then we break away for class. If you are serving as an acolyte or crucifer, don't worry about being a little late . . . We will save some Lunch for you! Your service to the church is important and an essential part of Christian formation.

Evening Youth Group: Fellowship, Service, & Trips: Twice a month SPY (St. Paul’s High School Youth) meets for fun, community service, outings, retreats and trips.
