St. Paul’s Memorial Church
2010-2011
Rite 13 is a program for Middle School aged Youth that recognizes this unique period in Christian formation by celebrating and exploring God's unfolding gift of maturity. The focus of this program is to explore our identities as Children of God, our Sacred Story, our place in Christian Community, the Spiritual Practices that sustain us, and the Call to live our lives "in Christ." We do this through morning classes, outings, weekend retreats and service projects.
Sunday Morning Meetings: 10:50 – 11:50AM. We begin just after communion in the Youth Rooms upstairs (before the end of the service). Together with the Confirmation Class and the High School Youth Class, we say the post-Communion prayer and eat lunch. Class will follow directly after lunch. If you are serving as an acolyte or crucifer, don't worry about coming in a little late . . . We will save some lunch for you! Your service to the church is important and an essential part of Christian formation.
Fellowship, Service, & Trips: Twice a month Rite 13 meets outside of church - usually from 4 to 6 pm. Sometimes we meet on our own for games and projects, sometimes we meet with the older youth, sometimes we go on overnights and trips.
